Bonnie "Pat" Davis Obituary

Bonnie Lou “Pat” Wiley Davis was received by her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, departing this life from St. Mary’s Medical Center, with her son Jim by her side.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sampson Davis, her son Eric Shawn Davis, her parents Clarence and Sylvia Ramey Wiley, three sisters-in-law: Linda Workman, Wanda (Harold) Kirk, and Judy Wiley, brothers-in-law Paul Holten, Danny Williams and Otha Roush.

Pat was born at home in Little Harts, WV and grew up surrounded by a loving family. Pat married the love of her life Sampson Davis and shortly after, in 1960 she graduated Harts High School. Together they created their life together on West Fork of Harts and was blessed with two precious sons. After a few years in the mountains of WV, they made the difficult decision to travel north to White Pigeon, Michigan to find work. Pat made their house into a home, where the little family of four created treasured memories and a mountain of love. Pat worked hard in the church and especially enjoyed working with the youth. Pat often welcomed and housed family members into her home, who followed their footsteps north looking for work. In the late 80’s Pat owned and operated Wholesale Connection in White Pigeon, Michigan. In 1991, Sam and Pat returned to West Virginia and built a home in the Spring Branch where they enjoyed their retirement. Pat became an active member of the Chapman Memorial Church of Harts where she was a member.

Of all Pat’s blessings in life, being Nana to Ashley (Eric) Young, Monica (Jesse) Brenneman, Luke Davis and Bethany Davis was greatest of them all. She loved seeing her legacy flourish through her grandchildren. In addition to her grandchildren Pat is survived by one son Jim (Char) Davis; five great-grandchildren: Lola and Capri Young, Everly, Molly and Graham Brenneman; one sister Marsha Holten, two brothers: Kenny Wiley, Boyce (May) Wiley; three sisters-in-law: Judy Williams, Sue Fitzgibbon, and Donna Roush; one brother-in-law Clyde Workman Jr.; one special great- niece and shopping partner Brooklyn Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers: Eric Young, Jesse Brenneman, Luke Davis, Davis Dempsey, David Kirk, Thomas Kirk, and honorary Pallbearers: Kenny Wiley and Clyde Workman Jr.
