Bobby Ray Yates, 44 of Gordon, formerly of Robinson, WV, departed this life on May 9, 2024 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV.

He was born October 22, 1979 in Madison, WV the son of Donald Yates and Jenny Gallagher.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elwood & Ruby Yates and Clarence & Margeret Albright.

Bobby enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Greyson, riding in the mountains, taking care of his dogs and making everyone's day brighter.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Mary E. Yates; his father, Donald (Karen) Yates and his mother, Jenny Gallagher; step grandfather, Ricky Ferguson; one daughter, Allison Addison; two stepdaughters, Ada Parks and Mary Branham; one son, Nathan Yates; one sister, Jaime Green; two stepsisters, Chrystal Ball and Melissa Hager; one stepbrother, Terry Arthur; one grandson, Greyson Gagnon; two nieces, Kristian Stevenson and Katy Green; one nephew, Zack Green; and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
