Billy Marcum

Rev. Billy Marcum, 78, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at his residence.

He was born July 31, 1940 in Holden, WV, a son of the late AW Marcum Sr and Nola (Whitt) Marcum.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 52 years and mother of his children, Henrietta Marcum, one son, William Marcum, four sisters, June McCloud, Alice Bolynn, Mary Reinholz and Juanita Sims, four brothers, AW “Buddy” Marcum Jr, Harold Ray Marcum, Everett Marcum and Henry Marcum.

Billy loved serving the Lord, playing and singing at the Pickin' in the Park and was a dedicated veteran.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Delora Jean Marcum; two daughters, Pamela (Ralph) Manning of Florida and Lisa Marcum of Logan; one son, Joshua Marcum of Harts; two step-daughters, Amber (Jerry) Grimmett and Jennifer (Joe) Browning both of Man; one step-son, James Ball of Man; three brothers, Paul (Mary) Marcum of Michigan, Bobby Marcum of Logan and Cliff (Dale) Marcum of Alabama; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with Eddie Marcum and Paul Marcum officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 6 – 9 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
