Betty Jewell Boothe

Betty Jewell Boothe, 84 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on April 19, 2023 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV.

She was born November 7, 1938 in Chapmanville, WV the daughter of the late Millard & Sally (Craddock) Wheatley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Norman Cummings and Kyle Boothe; grandparents, John & Lula Belle Craddock and William & Miriam Wheatley, brother, Sidney Harold Wheatley and infant sister, Linda Sue Wheatley.

Betty enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, knitting, working crossword puzzles and spending time with family, friends and neighbors. She was of the Pentecostal faith for 48 years.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Sandra Cummings of Taylorsville, NC; one son, Alan Lee Cummings of Chapmanville; two sisters, Audrey White of Verdunville and Marilyn (Randy) Adams of Chapmanville; nieces and nephews, Andrea (Ralph) Hager, Randilyn (Tim) Mendez, Natalie (Nick) Farley and Dr. Tom (Vicki) White; a very special friend, Tina Morgan and her family; and a host of friends and neighbors.

The family would like to thank Logan Regional Medical Center and Cabell Huntington Hospital for their excellent care of Betty and Dr. Tom White for all his help with everything.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am, Monday, April 24, 2023 at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV with Randy Adams officiating.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Freeman Funeral Home to help with services.
