Bernie Aldridge Jr., 64 of Harts, WV departed this life on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at Hubbard Hospice House.

He was born July 14, 1962 in Hamlin, WV the son of Effie Aldridge and the late Bernie Aldridge.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter & Brookie Aldridge; his wife, Vickie (Watts) Aldridge; in-laws, Luther and Bonnie Watts; brother, Owen Aldridge; and nephews, Randy Noel and Albert Carter.

Bernie enjoyed spending time with family, working on vehicles, going to Rod Run, attending car shows, and going to the beach.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Josh (Katlin) Aldridge; sisters, Brookie (Dallas) Carter, Joyce (Robert) Workman, and Pamela (David) Kinser; brothers, Dale (Angie) Aldridge, David Aldridge, Michael (Brandi) Aldridge, and Greg (Gina) Aldridge; grandchildren, Jaxon, Legend, Cohen, and Cody; niece, Ariel; great-niece, Milly; and a host of other family members he cherished.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Freeman Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with Eric “Tubby” Rakes officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, WV.

Pallbearers will be Dale Aldridge, David Aldridge, Trevor Farmer, Justin McCloud, Court Topping, Mikey Aldridge, and Freddie Browning.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
