Beatrice "Midge" (Vance) Tomblin

Beatrice “Midge” Vance Tomblin, 80 of Chapmanville, WV, formerly of Twelve Pole, WV departed this life on January 10, 2022 at Boone Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 19, 1941 in Harts, WV the daughter of the late Waymond and Sarah Stevenson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Franklin Vance, one son, Ronnie Lee Vance, and four siblings.

Beatrice enjoyed spending time with family, stringing green beans and going to church.

Those left to cherish her memory include four daughters, Helen Vance of Dingess, WV, Carol Vance (Clarence), of Holden, WV, Billie Vance (Frank) of Logan, WV, Sarah (Orville) Spry of Chapmanville; daughter-in-law, Misti Vance of North Carolina; five sons, Major (Dorothy) Vance, Robert (Betty) Vance, both of Chapmanville, Steve (Sharon) Vance of North Carolina and Archie (Carmella) Vance of Lower Sheppardtown Road; one sister, Vicie Copley of Dunlow, WV; three brothers, Willie Stevenson of Kentucky, Roger Stevenson of Michigan and Sid Stevenson of Hamlin, WV; twenty five grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 12:00pm, Monday, January 17, 2022 at the Mud Fork Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Sid Moore officiating. Burial will follow at the Vance Cemetery, Chapmanville, WV.

Friends may call Sunday, January 16, 2022 beginning at 6:00pm at the church.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
