Barbara Jean Perdue, 81 of Madison, WV, departed this life on May 8, 2023 at her residence.
She was born December 24, 1941 in Wayne, WV the daughter of the late Hilbert Ross and Cora (Charlie) Isaacs.
In addition to her parents and stepfather, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Everett and Myrtle Watts, and one brother, Billy Ross.
Barb enjoyed reading her bible, spending time with family and setting outside watching her grandkids play.
Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Tonya (David) Farmer, Shirl (James) Fraley, and Tammy Brown; two sons, Christopher (Jodi) Perdue and Kevin Perdue; four sisters, Earnestine Smith, Garnett Butcher, Gerladine Dingess, and Cloten (Jimmy) Hager; two brothers, James Albert and Rex (Drema) Isaacs; grandchildren, Cheyenne (Drake) Beadle, Sierra (Fred) Bell, David (Delaney) Farmer, Allisha (Chris) Burgess, Shawna (Jonathan) Meadows, James Fraley Jr, Matthew Fraley , Eddie Burgess, Billy Brown and Joseph Perdue; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Kensley, and Kadden Beadle, Kyleigh and Waylon Bell and Trinity, Landon and Arizona Burgess; her lifelong friend, Kerren Farmer; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:00pm, Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home with Selina Isaacs officiating. Burial will follow at the Powell Cemetery, Big Branch, Danville, WV.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 14, 2023 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be David Farmer, David “Bird” Farmer, Phillip Powell, Fred Bell, Chris Perdue and James Kazee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Burgess, Joseph Perdue and Tonya Farmer.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Freeman Funeral Home to help with arrangements.
