Arlene M. Freeman

Arlene M. Freeman, 66 of Ranger, WV, departed this life on November 6, 2020 at CAMC General Hospital, Charleston, WV with her husband holding her hand.

She was born September 9, 1953 in Huntington, WV the daughter of the late Homer & Claudia Shelton Elkins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hebert & Letha Shelton, Millard F. Elkins and Weltha McComas, one sister, Hazel Elkins, one brother, William E. Elkins, one brother-in-law, Bobby Carver, one great-niece, Brittney A. Carver and her in-laws, Jerry & Hasty Vance Freeman.

Arlene was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed sitting on the porch watching things around her, watching westerns, fishing, going shopping with Brooke, visiting and spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Lionel Page Freeman; one son, Ricci Page Freeman (Lana); one sister, Janet Carver; one brother, Homer E. Elkins (Beverly Hope); and two grandchildren, Brooklyn Page Freeman and Ricci Devin Ray Freeman; along with seven nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the 14 Mile Church of Christ with Gary Toppings officiating. Burial will follow at the Elkins Cemetery, River Bend Road, Ranger, WV.

Friends may call Sunday, November 8, 2020 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the church.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
