Anita Cheuvront

Anita Cheuvront, 45 of Mount Gay, WV departed this life to join her mother on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

She was born March 7, 1978 in Columbus, OH the daughter of the late Obie Cheuvront and Donna Jean (Brewer) Evans.

Anita loved Pepsi, scrunchies, Mickey Mouse, and above all, her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sisters, Thelma (Waymith Duke) Colegrove of Branchland, WV and Blanche (Jeff) Browning of Chapmanville, WV; two brothers, Obie Cheuvront of Mount Gay and Thomas Dwayne Evans of North Carolina; nieces, Donna (Miki) Kouns, April (Steven) Byrd, and Kelly (Matt Maynard) Conley; nephews; Michael (Katelyn) Stamper and Josh (Stacy) Wiley; great nieces and nephews, Austin (Angelica Bossa) Dean, Cody (Kelsey Kinzel) Byrd, Kaitlyn (Jeremy Brescoach) Workman, Brittany (Hunter) Hill, Linda Stamper, Michael Stamper Jr., Hope Stamper, Leila Stamper, Brooklynn Stamper, Savannah Adkins, Reed Hymes, Allison Hymes, Benji Conley, and Joseph Conley; and a special cousin whom she has nightly arguments with, Bill “Winkle” Collins; all of whom love and miss her dearly.

The family would like to thank caregivers, Marie (Rebo) Lambert, Lynn Brumfield, Shelby, and Ally of Cornerstone Hospital and Cabell Huntington Hospital ICU; and a special thank you to nurses Jason and Rebecca for the care that they provided in the hours preceding Anita's passing.

At the family's request there will be no pictures taken at the viewing or funeral.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 12:00 to 1:00pm at Freeman Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Sunday, September 10, 2023 at the funeral home with Pastor Scottie Watkins and Evangelist Pastor Eugene Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at the Warrick Cemetery, Ranger, WV.

Pallbearers will be Josh Wiley, Michael Stamper Jr., Austin Dean, Cody Byrd, Hunter Hill, and Jeremy Brescoach.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
