Alma Joe McNeely, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, 82 of Chapmanville, WV, went home to be with her loved ones in heaven on November 26, 2024, at Logan Center Nursing Home. Her life was a testament to unwavering love, resilience, and devotion to her family, whose lives she touched deeply.
She was born on April 17, 1942, in Columbus, OH, the daughter of the late Cleon Webb and Glenna (Chambers) Webb.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward “Whopper” McNeely; two sons, Charles Edward “Pig” McNeely Jr. and Tracy Lee McNeely; two sons-in-law, Martin David Mills and Danny Ray Adkins; one daughter-in-law, Darlene McClellan; her three sisters, Maceline (Harold) Smith, Maxie (Clyde) Eplin, and Mary Elizabeth Robison; her brother, Roy “Bot” Webb; and two beloved grandchildren, Holly Leann Sloan and Sabrina “Beanie” McNeely. She is now reunited with her forever friend, Pauline Luh, and they are surely playing Bingo together in heaven. .
Alma was the cornerstone of her family, known for her warmth, kindness, and unshakeable strength. Her legacy of love will live on through the countless lives she touched. She will be remembered 
for her unwavering dedication to her family, her joy in life’s simplest moments, and her ability to bring people together.
Though deeply missed, Alma’s family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with her loved ones who preceded her and that her spirit will continue to shine brightly in their hearts. .
She is survived by her six children, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family who will carry on her legacy, Tony Eugene McNeely and his children, Jason Johnson, Steven 
McNeely, and Tony McNeely Jr. Lisa Renee (DJ) Tomblin and her daughter, Brandi Michelle Steele, and her two daughters. George Allen (Shawna) McNeely and their two children, Zachary McNeely and Jordan Aleshire. Mary Angela (Christopher) Daniel, and her two children, Cody Allan Mills and Tiffany Nicole Rose, along with Tiffany’s three children. Brian Allen (Samantha) McNeely and their three children: Lily, Isaiah, Breonna. Brittany Amber (Brandon) Kirk and their child, Madison Olivia Whitt.
She is also survived by Charles Edward “Pig” McNeely Jr.’s children: Heather Lynn (Brett) Waller and her two sons, Crystal (Joseph) Runyon and her three daughters, and Ashlie (Ricky) Hale and her four children. Additionally, Tracy Lee McNeely’s children include: Gracie McNeely, his daughter, and T.J. McNeely, his son. Her three sisters, Anna, Donna, and Beatrice.
A celebration of Alma’s life will be held at Freeman Funeral Home. Services will take place at 1:00pm, Sunday, December 1, 2024, with Bill Dees officiating the service, as she loved him dearly. 
Family and friends are invited to gather in her honor and share the memories of a life so beautifully lived.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the funeral home.
