Wanda Lee Mills

Wanda Lee Mills, 68, of Chapmanville, WV departed this life on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Dignity Hospice House in Chapmanville.

She was born June 28, 1950 in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Lonnie Collins and Lillian Simpkins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Houston Ponton and Bertha Chapman, and her father and mother-in-law, James Bennett Mills Jr. and Beulah Watts Mills.

Wanda enjoyed crafting, knitting, and raising a variety of birds, going to flea markets, and yard sales.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, James “Jimmy” Mills of Garrett Fork; one daughter, Barbara Mills of Garrett Fork; two sons, James “Jim” Mills of Parkersburg, and Ted (Julie) Mills of Sophia, WV; seven grandchildren, Jimmy Lee Mills, Peggy Mills, Shane Mills, Bethann Mills, Brianna Mills, Kim Durham and Nickara Mills; eight great-grandchildren, Lindia Durham, Macie Durham, Taylor Durham, Jr. Mills, Johnathon Mills, Reina Mills, Isabella Mills, and Aayanna Mills.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home with Vivie Marcum officiating. Burial will follow at Mills Cemetery, Garrett Fork Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
