Stella M. (Swims) Wilson

Stella M. (Swims) Wilson, 73, of St. Albans, WV, departed this life on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV.

She was born January 15, 1945 in Cora, WV, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Fay Bell Swims.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lendard Wilson, two children, Anthony Joe Wilson and Ruby Fay Wilson, one sister, Alice Strickland, one brother, Harry Lee Swims, two sister-in-laws, Connie Swims and Janice Swims, and her boyfriend, Steven Ray.

Stella enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, floating on the river and quilting.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Rosella Wilson of Chastworth and Josephine Wilson (Ricky Westmorland) both of Chastworth, GA; one son, Lenard Greg (Marlana) Wilson of Chastwoth, GA; three sisters, Gladys Marie Bryant, Rosella Hobbs both of Mississippi and Ruby (Terry) Creech of St. Albans; five brothers, Gerald (Evon) Swims, David (Carron) Swims, Billy Swims, Donald Swims all of Chapmanville, and Larry (Lynn) Swims of Wilmington; six grandchildren, Josh Maddox, Sasha Leigh Wilson, Corey Heart Bittner, Andrew Wilson, Sadie Wilson and Anthony Hendricks; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June16, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home with Wayne Runyon officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
