Sidney Lee Kirkendoll

Sidney Lee Kirkendoll, 73, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Thursday, January 16, 2020 in the early morning hours at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV.

He was born August 4, 1946 in Chapmanville, WV, the son of the late Berthal and Ruth Kirkendoll.

Sidney loved to hunt, squirrels were his favorite and he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was employed with the Department of Highways for about 14 years. Sidney had lots of friends there that greatly cared for him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his three children, Drema (Tony) Farley of Harts, Darlene (Keith) Bryant of Chapmanville and Sidney Lee Kirkendoll Jr of Tims Fork, Chapmanville; four grandchildren, Raymond Berthel Conley of Crawley, Bryan Keith Bryant of Chapmanville, Felicia Dawn Bryant of Hurricane, and Tiffany Darlene Bryant of Chapmanville; four great grandchildren, Grayson Keith Bryant, Kinsley Faith Bryant, Colton Lee Adkins all of Chapmanville and Italy Dawn Grose of Hurricane; his special buddy, Steve Baisden; and a special cousin Sandy Porter “Sandman” as he called her that went above and beyond what was ask of her.

Services will be held at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home with Ricky Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Neil Cemetery, Caney Branch, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Bryant, Raymond Conley, Keith Bryant, Ben Adkins, Cecil Porter, Tony Farley, Asa Adkins and James Adkins.
