Shirley Spry

Shirley Spry, 90, of Ranger, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at her residence.

She was born September 9, 1927 in Logan, WV, the daughter of the late Jennings Toppings and Leona Wiley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Spry Jr., her son, Charles David Thompson, four sisters, Eliza Jean Toppings Arthur, Irene Gentry, Helen Vance, and Edith Toppings, and two brothers, Leonard Toppings and Jennings Topping Jr.

Shirley enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her grandchildren, David A. Thompson and Marsha L. Jones Thompson, Charles Bucky Thompson and Melody Thompson; and her great grandchildren, Jacob A. Thompson and Maggian Thompson.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home with Charlie Rakes officiating. Burial will follow at Nelson-Spry Cemetery, Ranger, WV.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
