Samuel Arthur Gundy

Samuel Arthur Gundy, 76, of Danville, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

He was born May 1, 1943, a son of the late Arthur Gundy and Virginia Smith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Janie Workman.

Samuel enjoyed hunting, collecting knives, fishing, riding motorcycles and talking about tanks and his time spent in Germany while he was in the Army.

Those left to cherish his memory include four sisters, Linda Searls of Madison Connie Miller of North Carolina, Diana Smith of Cross Lanes and Nancy Smith of Camp Creek.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, May 10, 2019 at the Wheatley Branch House of Prayer with Pastor Gary Toler officiating.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
