Raymond Fleming, 88, of Chapmanville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at his residence.
He was born October 22, 1930 in Logan, WV, a son of the late Elmer and Virgie (Akers) Fleming.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Clara Bailey, Sidney Fleming, Walter “Cud” Fleming, Wilburn “Tot” Fleming, Tommy Fleming and Ralph Fleming, one grandson, Michael Fleming and his in-laws, Leroy and Minnie Sipple.
Raymond enjoyed sitting on the porch, watching his horses and spending time with family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Mary Fleming; three daughters, Sharon (Orville) Pridemore, Frances (Bruce) Armour and Vickie Fleming; four sons, Roger (Vanessa) Fleming, Douglas (Doris) Fleming, Scott (Jeannie) Fleming and GJ Cline; one sister, Dorothy Hall; two brothers, Harold Fleming and David Fleming; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and special niece, Angel Ray; special friend, Malinda Bryant; and all his neighbors from Longhorn Bottom.
The family would like to thank all of Raymond's Longhorn Bottom neighbors for all their care and support.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, July 29, 2019 at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV with Stanley Adkins officiating.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be, Orville Pridemore, Bruce Armour, Billy Sipple, Gary Evans and Wayne Bryant.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
