Paul McCloud Jr.

Paul McCloud Jr., 63, of Verdunville, WV, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 14 , 2019 at University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington KY.

He was born February 3, 1956 in Logan, WV, a son of the late Paul McCloud Sr. and Birdie McCloud (Frye).

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his three daughters, Misty, Kristy, and Shelly; one son, Kelly; father-in-law, John Henry Workman; and mother-in-law, Lizzie Workman.

Paul enjoyed spending time with family above all else, attending Mudfork Freewill Baptist Church, being a former Sunday school teacher and youth group leader. He loved to fish, pitch horseshoes, and watch wrestling. He was fond of all animals, especially his two dogs. He was a servant of God and a friend to all mankind.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of forty-one years, Betty McCloud of Logan, WV; one daughter, Megan (Joseph) Huff of Charlestown, WV; one son, Paul (Heather) McCloud III of Cyclone, WV; three sisters, Lillian (Mike) Brumfield of Alum Creek, WV, Susie McCloud of Logan, WV, and Pauline Conley of Logan, WV; four brothers, Larry (Eva) McCloud of Verdunville, WV, Ricky Frye of Verdunville, WV, Freddie McCloud of Logan, WV, and Michael (Tonja) McCloud of Breeden, WV; two step-sisters, Charlene (Dale) Atkins of Logan, WV, and Kimberly (Brian) Turner of Texarkana, TX; four grandchildren, Alexus McCloud, Haven McCloud, Ryker McCloud, and Josiah Huff; and his step-mother, Gaynell McCloud.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, July 19, 2019 at Mudfork Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Agie Bryant and Darrell Newsome officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 6:00pm – 2:00 Pm the following day at the Mudfork Freewill Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Workman, Jake Hensley, Joseph Huff, Freddie McCloud, and Greg Browning.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
