Paul G. Lawson

Paul G. Lawson, 87, of Pecks Mill, WV, departed this life on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at home.

He was born October 17, 1931 in Logan WV, a son of Sherman L. and Ada Alice Lawson of Logan, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Mary Jane Lawson and Connie Marie Lawson; three brothers, Clifford, Joseph and Simon Lawson; and three sisters, Frances Phipps, Edna “Kitty” Gomez and Rachel Harrison.

Paul was a retired postmaster at the Pecks Mill Post Office, US Air Force and attended Victory Free Will Baptist church.

Those left to cherish his memory include one son, Michael G. (Teena) Lawson of Hampton VA; two grandchildren, Joseph Michael Lawson and Anthony Lawson; four great grandchildren, Drew, Kyle, Sam and Spencer Lawson; Special great great nephew, John Matthew Terranova; special niece, Janice Glenn; and special family members, Pinky and Eddie McKinney, Derek, Devan and Shayla.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rocky Chafin officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Chapmanville WV.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 12 - 1 pm at Freeman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Derek McKinney, Devan McKinney, Brandon Green, Matthew Smith, David Armentrout and Ronnie Hipshire.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
