Mildred Jean (Tomblin) Dalton, 84, of Harts, WV, departed this life on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at her residence.
She was born April 15, 1935 in Harts, the daughter of the late Carlos and Ina (Conley) Tomblin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paris Dalton, three brothers, Opie Tomblin, Kenneth Tomblin, Arthur Tomblin, one sister, Hedy Adkins, and her mother and father in law, Frank and Anna (Spry) Dalton.
Mildred enjoyed gardening, going to church, singing, sitting on the front porch and watching football.
Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Lisa (Grady Hall) Adams, Katrina “Tena” (Rick) Hensley and Renee (Timmie) Adams; one son, Scott (Teresa) Dalton; four sisters, Madgelene Mullins, JoAnn McCloud, Sandra Kirk and Geraldine Wright; one brother, Odie Tomblin; five grandchildren, Jessica Kennedy, Krista Mendez, Ashley Bender, Justin Dalton, Katie Adams and Terry Workman; and ten great grandchildren, Nathan Bender, Parker Bender, Baylee Dalton, Shelby Collins, Tanner Hill, Mya Workman, Alyssa Workman, Madison Kennedy, Ella Mendez and Quinn Mendez.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dignity Hospice of Chapmanville and their staff.
Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Hannah United Baptist Church, Harts, WV with Steven Kirk and Glen “PeeWee” Tomblin officiating. Burial will follow at Dalton Family Cemetery, Harts, WV.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 6 – 9 pm at Freeman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Carlos McCloud Jr, Travis McCloud, Marty McCloud, Dwayne Tomblin, Jason Tomblin, Kenny Tomblin and Grady Hall.
Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Dalton, Rocky Mendez, Bo Kennedy and Jason Bender.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
