Mary Smith Harless, 84, of Harts, WV, departed this life on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
She was born April 23, 1934 in Beauty, KY, the daughter of the late Sheman and Laura Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darius Harless, grandparents, Jim and Sassie Queen and Dillard and Catherine Smith, one son, Clarence Gene Harless, one daughter, Sandra Harless, one grandson, Doug Cline, one great grandson, Jackson Cline, one sister, Beatrice McNeely, one brother, Sherman Smith and her father and mother-in-law, John and Minnie Harless.
Mary enjoyed shopping, spending time with her family and grandchildren, decorating, going to church and traveling.... did I mention shopping.
Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Deborah Young (James Weekly) of Big Creek, Patrica (Ronnie) Woody of Lake and Shelia Robin Harless (Billy Western) of Toney Addition; two sisters, Sessie Lee Breck Manns and Deloris Pat Jones; two brothers, James (Shirley) Smith and Arther (Marcella) Smith; eight grandchildren, Pam Cline Hammond, Christopher (Christy) Harless, Jeremy (Amy) Harless, Justin (Miranda) Harless, Patricia (Darian) Hughes, Billy Gene (Brittany) Hoosier, Shane (Kelly) Hoosier and Casey (Misty) Harmon; twenty-three great-grandchildren, Trevor and Tyler Hammond, Harper Adkins, Mitchell, Auston and MaKayla Cline, Haiden and Mattie Ellison, Nathan, Kayson and Cooper Harless, Caleb and Connor Hughes, John Steven, Gryffin and Zane Hoosier, Dustin and Hannah Harmon, Brandon and Tanner Hoosier, Garrett (Kayla) Ellison, and DJ Moore; two great-great grandchildren, Carson and Layla Cline; sister-in-law, Sue Smith and her loving friends, Linda Dingess and Sue Ward.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with Eric “Tubby” Rakes officiating. Burial will follow at Harless and Frazier Cemetery, Ranger, WV.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 6 – 9 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
