LeaEtta “Diner Fowler” Hurt, 90, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Hillcrest Health Care Center in Danville, WV.
She was born December 21, 1927 in Chapmanville, the daughter of the late Thomas Everett and Abbie B. (Hoover) Fowler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Hurt, five brothers, Rodney Owen, James Everett, Buck, Ted and Joe Fowler.
LeaEtta enjoyed spending time with her sons, and grandchildren, reading, sewing, flowers, and watching old westerns.
Those left to cherish her memory include three sons, James Hurt, Thomas Hurt both of Ripley, WV and Charles Hurt of Chapmanville; three sisters, Madge (Dale) Bates, June Thompson and Patty Police; one brother, Carl Fowler; and four grandchildren, Michelle Hurt Dingess, Joshua Thomas Hurt, Casey King and Shawn King; and one great grandchild, Bryton Dingess.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home with James H. “Bay” Farley officiating. Burial will follow at the Fowler Cemetery, Chapmanville, WV.
Visitation will be on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 6 – 9 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
