Keister Lee Christian Sr.

Keister Lee Christian Sr, 57, of Harts, WV, departed this life on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at his residence.

He was born November 4, 1961 in West Hamlin, WV, a son of the late McGinnis and Luranie (Wiley) Christian.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Melodie Christian, one brother, McGinnis Christian Jr, two sisters-in-law, Lilly May Christian and Christina Christian, two nephews, Larry Christian Jr and Roger Ferrell and his father and mother-in-law, Pete and Shirley Toney.

Keister enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, working on cars with his sons, son-in-law and grandsons. He loved family time and enjoyed spending time with his wife of 37 years.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Dale Christian; one daughter, Michelle (Adam) VanNatter; two sons, Keister Jr (Dora) Christian and Keister Christian III; four sisters, Ruby (Thomas) Dingess, Lou Ann (Cleveland) Combs, Violet (Charles) Combs, and Venoria (Billy) Ferrell; four brothers, William (Shelia) Christian, Darrell Christian, Larry (Kathy) Christian and Ruben (Patsy) Christian; six grandchildren, Keenan VanNatter, Darian VanNatter, Kira VanNatter, Audrey Kirk, Eliza Christian and Killian Christian; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Debra (Doug) Skeens, Christy (Brian) Stowers, Nancy (Rick) Norman, Gail Neal, Terry Toney, Millard (Lynn) Toney, and Gary Toney; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with Lige Paulsen and Tommy Deskins officiating. Burial will follow at the Queen Cemetery, Ferrellsburg, WV.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 from 6 - 9 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Christian, William Christian, Dickie Christian, Jonathan Christian, Jimmy VanNatter, Tony Ferrell and Quincy Christian.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
