Jonathan “Tater” Lester, 17, of Low Gap, departed this life on Sunday, May 27, 2018 in Danville, WV.
He was born April 30, 2001 in Huntington, WV, the son of Edward and Cinderella “Cindy” Lester.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ronald Lambert and Charles Lester, two uncles, Charles S. Lester and Edward Lambert and one aunt, Obreeta Adkins.
Tater loved playing football, baseball and basketball. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, music, camping, 4-wheeling and hanging out at Shoppers with friends.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include two brothers, Zachary and Connor Lester; grandparents, Alma Maynard and Sue Lester; his aunts and uncles, Meda & John Mayhorn, Kathleen & Steve Mullins, Mike & Donna Lambert and Gary Lester; his best friend, Matthew Arbaugh; cousins, Shyann Ferrell, Bailey Ferrell, and Brantley Mayhorn; and aunts, uncles, cousins and loved ones.
Services will be held at 12:00 pm, Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Scott High School with Jeff Mosteller officiating. Burial will follow at the Lester Family Cemetery, North Fork, Big Creek, WV.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 6 – 10 pm at the school.
Pallbearers will be Josh Preece, Connor White, Ian Gillispie, Aaron Grant, Taylor Weagle, Nate Miller, Carter Lyles, Donovan Moore, Wes Nelson, and Michael Wheatley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Zachary Lester, Matthew Arbaugh, Jacob Schlegel, Jonah Schlegel, John Whitt and Austin Buzzard.
