John Washie Brumfield

John Washie Brumfield, 83, of Harts, WV, departed this life on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at CAMC General, Charleston, WV.

He was born June 22, 1935 in Harts, WV a son of the late Scott & Risby (Adkins) Brumfield.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Violet Mae Brumfield Richards and Polly Ann Brumfield Richards and one brother, Everett Brumfield.

John enjoyed going to church and spending time with his wife and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Billie Joyce Brumfield; two daughters, Brenda (Donald) Adams and Karen Brumfield; one son, Larry Brumfield; one brother, Bill Brumfield; two grandchildren, Zachary Pridemore and Faith (Ryan) McCann; and two great-great grandchildren, Carolina Green and Thomas McCann.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home with Moses Vance officiating. Burial will follow at the Brumfield Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Friends may call Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Donald Adams, Rick Banett, Jonathan Hudnall, George Lackey, Zachary Pridemore and Brandon Midkiff.
