Jackie Lee Ferrell

Jackie Lee Ferrell, 68, of Harts, WV, departed this life on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the Logan Center, 3 Mile Curve.

He was born February 20, 1951 in West Hamlin, WV, a son of Myrtle Burns and the late Merida Allen Ferrell.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lonnie and Ida Mullins, one brother, Merida Allen Ferrell Jr, nephew Roger Ferrell, great niece, LeAnna Joy Triplett, aunts, Florence Mullins, and Sylvia Mullins, uncle, Pete Mullins, his father-in-law, Bradford Knowlton and many more.

Jackie enjoyed being a christian and praising the Lord, playing his guitar, basketball, gardening, taking walks and talking on the phone. He loved everyone and loved his mom dearly.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his wife Diana Lynn Ferrell; three daughters, Tammy Lynn (Bill) Richards, Tanya Jean (Orie) Carter and Tina Marie (Dustin) Rakes; two sisters, Patty Ann (Rick) Triplett, and Brenda Kay (Warren) Richards; one brother, Billy Roger (Susie) Ferrell; six grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Porter, Miranda Nicole Hill, Coty Lee Richards, Vincent Nelson, Cheyanne Rakes and Jaxon Rakes; six great grandchildren, Tanner Aiden Porter, Gracie Alexis June Porter, Chloe Hill, Paiton Hill, Brayson Richards, and Kylie Nelson; his mother-in-law, Frances Knowlton, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with Donnie Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Myrtles Memory Garden, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 12 – 1 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Billy Ferrell, Warren Richards, Coty Richards, Vincent Nelson, Jonathan Triplett, and Michael Triplett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Triplett, Crick Mullins, Dee Burger, Clovis Mullins and Poker Bill Dean.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Freeman Funeral Home to help with funeral arrangements.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
