Howard Francis Knam

Howard Francis Knam, 85, of Yolyn, WV, departed this life on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV.

He was born June 10, 1934 in Cleveland, OH, a son of the late Francis and Katherine Knam.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Gail Knam.

Howard enjoyed spending time with family and friends, attending the Sons of the Second meetings, collecting guns, flying airplanes, and working on computers. He was a member of the Sons of the Second and was a member of the Yolyn Community Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include his companion, Gertrude Carroll; three daughters, Sandy Ensil, Karen Starcher, and Joanne Osborne; one son, Tim Knam and his wife Tricia; one sister, Joyce Wilbur; two brothers, Glen Knam and Robert Knam; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; he is also survived by the Christian family and his close friends, Junebug Gore and LeeAnna Knam.

Services will be held at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with Shane Browning officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 17, 2019 from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be members of the Sons of the Second,
