Harold Dean Cook

Harold Dean Cook, 83, of Harts, WV formerly of Kistler, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

He was born January 10, 1935 in Lundale, WV a son of the late Eual and Kathern Cook.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry Mars and Cal & Mae Cook, one daughter, Libby Toler, one great-grandson, Jonathan Wesley Tabor, two brothers, Haward Dale and Kenny Cook, two sisters, Barbara Jean White and Henrietta Owens and his father and mother-in-law Willie and Rachael Watts.

Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to church and spending time with his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Crystal Cook of Harts; two sons, Dean (Wendy) Cook of Chapmanville, and Ty (Amy) Cook of Man; one step-son, Mark (Barb) Manns of Harts; one step-daughter, Rhonda (Keith) Thompson of Harts; five sisters, Betty Vanatter, Phyllis Brown, Judy Stroupes, Nancy Spence and Kathy Hagood; nine grandchildren, Bobby Dean (Erica) Cook, Brandy Williams, Eddie Charles, Lindsey (Anthony) Stollings, Carley Cook, Baylee Jo Cook, Broc Cook, Nikkie (Josh) Conley and Tiffany (Jonathon) Tabor; and seven great-grandchildren, Robert Cook, Jaxon and Lukas Tabor, Zoey, Tuesdae, Kalysta and Austynn Conley.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home with Johnny Hatfield and Tubby Rakes officiating. Burial will follow at the Nester Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 6 – 9 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Dean Cook, Josh Conley, Tiffany Tabor, Mark Manns, Anthony Stollings and John White III.

Honorary pallbearers will be John White II, Brandon White, Johnathan Tabor, Keith Thompson, Ron Brown Jr, Steve Stroupes, Glenn Adams, Jeff Toppings, Terry Riggins, Shortie Frye, and Harvey Scites,
