Estil Abbott

Estil Abbott, 88, of Harts, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

He was born December 20, 1929 in Harts, WV a son of the late Willie & Evaline Abbott.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Vada Abbott, one son, Bill Abbott, three brothers, Grady, Jesse and Hubert Abbott and his father and mother-in-law, Freddie & Margaret Adams.

Estil was a member of the Workman Fork Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include six children, Almeda (Paul) McCloud of Harts, Edmond (Kendall) Abbott of White Oak and John Abbott of Harts who were his caregivers, Andy (Lisa) Abbott of Myrtle Beach, Inie (Dave) Dingess of Harts, and Margaret (Scott) Vance of Jonesborough, TN; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Nelson; fourteen grandchildren, Holly, Missy, Johnny, Josh, Tena, Daniel, AJ, Freddie, Danielle, Kenneth, Hailey, Millard, Willie Ray and Vada LeeAnn; twenty-five great grandchildren; four special friends, Bess Adams, Tammy Hager, Chris Thompson and Marsha Stanley; and a host of friends and family.

Services will be held at 2:30 pm, Sunday, July 1, 2018 at his residence, 19 Sparkleberry Road at Hoover with James “Baye” Farley officiating. Burial will follow at Abbott-Adams Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Friends may call Saturday, June 30, 2018 beginning at 6:00 pm at his residence.

Pallbearers will be John Abbott, Scott Vance, Earl Spry, Chris Thompson, Bernie Brumfield and Josh Dingess.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
