David Leon Greene

David Leon Greene, 57, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at his residence.

He was born November 3, 1961 in Cleveland, OH, a son of Patsy A. Greene of Chapmanville and the late Vacel L. Greene.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Greene, and his grandparents, Gardiner and Eva Baisden and Archie and Focie Greene.

David loved to play Rook, be in the hills and molly moocher hunting.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his companion, Marcia Butcher; two brothers, Christopher (Jodi) Greene and Scottie (Staci) Greene; nieces, Nikki Marcum, Ashley Greene, Kristin Morrison, Amy Greene and Jada Greene; nephews, Paul Dearfield, Colton Greene, and Walker Greene; and his great-nieces, Lexi Marcum, Taylor Marcum, Riley Dearfield and Lainey Morrison.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with Mark Wheatley officiating. Burial will follow at the Greene-Baisden Cemetery, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 12 – 2 pm at the the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be his Christopher Greene, Scottie Greene, Sam Marcum, CJ Jarrell, Joey Jarrell, Jackie Jarrell and Paul Dearfield.
