Charles “Shack Buck” Spaulding, 69, of Mud Fork, departed this life on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Logan Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
He was born November 12, 1948 in Logan, WV, the son of the late Millard and Hazel Spaulding.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James D. Spaulding and two sisters, Gloria Jean Conley and Shelia Gay Spaulding.
Shack Buck enjoyed watching wrestling, nascar racing, lottery tickets and riding ATVs.
Those left to cherish his memory include three daughters, Denise (Brad) Akers of Omar, Tina (Jeff) Southard of Denton, NC, and Christina (Tommy) Gray of Trinity, NC; two step-daughters, April Collins and Angel Hobbs both of Mud Fork; four step-sons, James “Doodle” Green, Carl Green, Mike Green, and David “Shug” Green; three sisters, Joyce Nelson of Dingess, Esta Chafin of Mt. Gay, and Bonnie Adams of Harts; one brother, Alvie “Rabbit” Spaulding; four grandchildren, Joshua Akers, Brandon Akers both of Omar, Destiny Phillips and Shane Gray both of Trinity, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, November 2, 2018 at Mudfork Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Elbert Collins Jr officiating. Burial will follow at the Frye Cemetery, Verdunville, WV.
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 6 – 9 pm at the church.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Freeman Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
