Chadrick Willis Carter

Chadrick Willis Carter, 39, of Smokehouse Fork, Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Sunday, June 17, 2018.

He was born September 12, 1978 in Logan, WV a son of Jimmy & Lessie Jane (Farley) Carter.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willis & Anna Mae Carter and Melvin & Vira Farley.

Chad was a 1996 graduate of Chapmanville High School, 1997 graduate of Nashville Auto Diesel College and a member of IBEW Local 71 in Columbus, OH. He was a linemen and journeymen for New River Electrical Co. and he enjoyed deer hunting with his good ole buddy Johnny Napier.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his wife, the love of his life, Stephanie Ann (Maynard) Carter; one son, Tyler Chadrick Carter; one daughter, Aubrey Anna Mae Carter; one step-daughter, Sydney Alexis Steele; one step-son, Stephen Cole Maynard; one sister, Rachel Carter-Headley and her husband Craig; one sister and brother-in-law, Jeff and Stacy Bell; three nephews, Willis Clay Headley, Evan Bell and Ryan Bell; and his father and mother-in-law, Steve & Shelia Maynard.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home with Craig Headley and Pastor Smokey Hager officiating. Burial will follow at Willis Carter Family Cemetery, Smokehouse Fork, Chapmanville, WV.

Friends may call Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 6 – 9 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Carter, Zack Workman, Rocky Mendez, Micky Mendez, Stephen Maynard, Roger Sturgill, Brandon Collins and Donnie Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Collins, Wendal Bryant, Tub Lucas, Joey Adams, Larry Bryant and Emory Carter.
