Catherine Lu Vance

Catherine Lu Vance, 65, of Henlawson, departed this life on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at her residence.

She was born October 17, 1954 in Logan, WV, the daughter of the late Virgil and Christine Adkins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death one son, Robert Lee Vance, one brother, Roscoe Adkins, one sister, Deloris Ann Copley and her baby grandson, Sawyer Jefferson.

Cathy was an outdoorsman. She loved adventure walks and being a caretaker of her kids. Cathy also loved to camp, swim, have cookouts and to suntan.

Those left to cherish her memory include her five children, Paul A. Baisden of Harts, Tammy Jean Baisden of Rossmore, Crystal D. Grey of Buckhannon, Lee Ann Vance of Kenova and Johnny Lee Vance of Ranger; two sisters, Hope Adkins of Henlawson and Renea Copley of Florida; two brothers, Randy Adkins of Henlawson and Lando Adkins of Florida; fifteen grandchildren, Heather Mullins, Ashley Baisden, Courtney Canterbury, Cara Baisden, Miriah Baisden, Dustin Popp, Hunter Grey, Sarah Grey, Keylin Grey, Cale Grey, Skylar Jefferson, Rayley Jefferson, Addison Vance, Lilian Vance and Briar Vance; and eight great-grandchildren, Kylie and Madison Spears, Jayden, Jocylen, Gunner, and Caleigh Johnson, Chayce Popp and Jaxson Smith.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the Warrick Cemetery, Ranger, WV.

Pallbearers will be family and friends .
