Carol J. Moore

Carol J. Moore, 74, of Mt. Gay, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV.

She was born October 10, 1944 in Mt. Gay, WV, the daughter of the late Harry Bradford Collier & Christine Collier Hensley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father, Per Hensley, and in-laws, John and Estella Moore.

Carol enjoyed sewing, teaching, and church work. She loved working with kids.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 58 years, James “Jim” Moore of Mt. Gay; two sons, Timothy (Crystal) Moore of Holden and Larry Moore (fiance, Pam) of Roseville, CA; two sisters, Gloria Collier Berendt of Henlawson and Linda (Glen) Lambert of Grand Rivers, KY; one brother, Kenny (Sharon) Collier of Dingess; seven grandchildren, Justin (Brandy) of Durham, NC, Zachary of Morgantown, WV, Justin of Birmingham, AL, Emma (Brandon) Cain of Birmingham, Tyler and Riley of Holden, WV and Isabelle of Roseville; two great grandchildren, Rex and Sam Moore of Durham; and her church family.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, September 23, 2019 at the Central Untied Baptist Church, Mt Gay, WV with Pastor Randy Skeens officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 23, 2019 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the church.

Pallbearers will be her church family.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Central United Baptist Church in her memory.
