Bradley Eugene Hager

Bradley Eugene Hager, 49, of Big Ugly, WV went home to be with the Lord suddenly on Friday, September 14, 2018 surrounded by his family at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

He was born September 24, 1968 in West Hamlin, WV to Bonnie and Eugene Hager.

He is preceded in death by this grandparents Mayme (Hager) Cochran, Walter Hager, Dorothy (Elkins) Lucas and Ward Lucas.

He is survived by his parents, his spouse Dora Hager, daughters Alyssa Higginbotham (Jay) and Christina “Shyane” Hager, sons Aaron Hager (Amber) and Nathaniel Hager, and Step son Travis Jarrell (Allie). His beloved grandchildren Caleb Westfall, Madison Hager, Arabella Higginbotham, and Zander Hager. His sisters Michelle Beaty (Keith), Christina Brewer (Michael), Kimberly Williams (Michael), and brother Christopher Hager (Valerie) and a host nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Bradley was full of life, laughter and loved his family. He loved the outdoors and could always be found hunting, fishing, camping or tinkering with something. He was always willing to help anyone and would even give the shirt right off his back. His grandchildren were the light of his life, they loved their Papaw Brad as much as he loved them.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Greenshoal Freewill Baptist Church, Harts, WV. Burial will follow at his home on Big Ugly, WV with Pastor Darnell Cyfers officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 6 to 10 pm.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Hager, Jay Higginbotham, Travis Jarrell, Christopher Hager, Michael Williams, Michael Brewer, and Keith Beaty.

Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville WV will be handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be sent to the funeral home to go towards final expenses.
