Billie "Joyce" Barrett-Brumfield

Billie “Joyce” Barrett-Brumfield, 74, of Harts, WV, departed this life on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV.
She was born December 12, 1944, the daughter of the late Curtis Adkins and Polly “Earl” Isaacs Adkins.
In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death her grandparents, Aaron & Cora Adkins and Noah & Callie Isaacs; her late husband, Byrd “Buddy” Barrett; one grandson, Ricky Barrett; and her former husband, John Brumfield.
Joyce enjoyed going to church when she could, spending time with her friends and family, and rocking in her rocking chair while watching cartoons with Bailea.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Shannon (Jonathan) Hudnall and Kathie (Ricky) Combs; one son, Richard (Gay) Barrett; four sisters, Jeanette Davis, Geneva Ramey, Faye Farmer, and Dorothy Williams; two grandchildren, Tabatha Combs and Ricky Combs; one very special great-grandchild, Bailea Baker.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with Hoss Farley officiating. Burial will follow at Adams- Dempsey Cemetery, Harts, WV.
Visitation will be on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 12:00 pm til 2:00 pm at Freeman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Rick Barrett, Jonathan Hudnall, Curtis Ramey, Brandon Midkiff, Jonathan Shelton, Joseph Shelton, and Ricky Combs. Honorary pallbearers will be Chucky Williams, Charles Williams, and Jerry Farmer.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
