Ashley Nicole Ferguson

Ashley Nicole Ferguson, 26, of East Fork of Twelve Pole, departed this life on Monday, February 18, 2019 due to a car accident in Mingo County.

She was born April 14, 1992 in Logan, WV, a daughter of Roger and Donna Ferguson.

Ashley was a Tug Valley High School graduate and a Southern West Virginia Community College graduate, with an Associate Degree and a Marshall University graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education K-6. She also had a teaching endorsement to teach Elementary Education K – 6. Ashley was a teacher at the Kermit Pre-K through 8 and was finishing her third year of teaching. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing games on the internet and teaching her school babies. Ashley was very close to her family and she was loved dearly and will be forever, greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Roger and Donna, those left to cherish her memory include one brother, Jonathon Ferguson; grandparents, Kenneth and Clara Ferguson and Charles and Wilma Carter; special friend since middle school, Lynn Preece; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Mount Mariah United Baptist Church at East Fork of Twelve Pole, Dingess, WV with Pastor Sidney Stroud officiating. Burial will follow at the Ferguson Cemetery, Dingess, WV.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 22, 2019 beginning at 6:00 pm at the church.

Pallbearers will be Jonathon Ferguson, Melvin Slusher, MJ Slusher, Brandon Slusher, Drake Lowe, Allen Ferguson, Jason Carter, Jason Ferguson, Shane Lowe and Derick Lowe.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
