Arthur Ray McCoy

Arthur Ray McCoy, 79, of Greenview, WV, departed this life on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the Pikeville Medical Center.

He was born May 25, 1940 in Chapmanville, WV, a son of the late John Allen and Ella McCoy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty McCoy, two daughters, Trina McCoy Hunter and Rachael McCoy, three brothers, Herman McCoy, Carl McCoy and Earl McCoy and five sisters, Francis Hilmane, Alice Vance, Ethel Robinette, Irene Conley and May Spencer.

Ray enjoyed playing poker, fishing, gardening and he like horses.

Those left to cherish his memory include his companion, Grace Miracle; five daughters, Patricia McKinney, Teresa (Richard) Adkins, Angela McCoy (Lee Ferrell), Tina (Clinton) Johnson and Ella Mae (Paul) Goode; one son, Arthur McCoy Jr (Missy Burgess); twelve grandchildren, Tommy Lee Tomblin, Brandon Ray Tomblin, Nathan Allen Tomblin, Kayla Vannessa Miracle, Sara Ann Miracle, Chellsy Jean McCoy, Timothy Lee McCoy Jr, Betty Jane McCoy, John Patrick Goode Jr, Lillian Francis Messer, Jasmine Renee Myers and Charles Austin McCoy; three great grandchildren, Zora Rice, Ryder Kyle Lee McCoy, and Jensen Anthony Ance McCoy.

Services will be held at 2:30 pm, Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with Ralph Caudill and Paul Little officiating. Burial will follow at Mills Cemetery, Garrett Fork, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 11:00 am – 2:30 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be John Patrick Goode Jr, Tommy Lee Tomblin, Brandon Ray Tomblin, Nathan Allen Tomblin, Lee Ferrell, Charles McCoy, Trae Messer and Ricky Adkins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Clinton Johnson Jr and Arthur McCoy Jr.
