Amy Madaline Headley, 78, of Harts, WV, departed this life on Friday, March 29, 2019 at her residence.
She was born March 15, 1941 in Harts, WV, a daughter of the late Hugh and Margaret Dingess.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband Jimmy Headley, one sister, Jewel Ramey, two brothers, Darrell and Albert Dingess, four sisters-in-law, Racine Dingess, Birdie Dingess, Betty Farmer and Madge Farmer and five brothers-in-law, Craig Frye, Luther McCann, Monroe Ramey, Clifford Farmer and June Farmer.
Madaline was a retired cook for the Lincoln County Board of Education and loved taking care of her roses and spending time on her porch with her family. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Margaret “Peg” and Sonny Kelley of Harts; four sons, Jeff Headley of Harts, Terry and Kim Headley of Ona, Craig and Rachel Carter-Headley of Harts and Doug Loscar of Harts; three sisters, Barb and Isaiah Vance of Wheelersburg, OH, Judy McCann of Chapmanville and Mary Frye of Harts; one brother, Larry and Barb Dingess of Chapmanville; five grandchildren, Cassie and Jason Bartley, Carrie Kelley, Ian and Duncan Headley and Will Headley; one great-grandchild, Axel Bartley; and one brother-in-law, Clyde Headley.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at the Chapman Memorial Freewill Baptist Church at Harts, WV with Craig Headley and Jimmy Carter officiating. Burial will follow at the Margaret Dingess Cemetery, Harts, WV.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 1, 2019 beginning at 6:00 pm at the church.
Pallbearers will be Craig, Terry and Jeff Headley, Eric Dingess and Robbie McCann.
