Sharon Lynn (Stollings) Collins

Sharon Lynn Collins, 59 of Chapmanville, WV departed this life on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV.

She was born June 14, 1957 in Logan, WV a daughter of Marilyn Von Adams Stollings of Chapmanville and the late James Parker Stollings.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Garland Blevins Jr, and one brother, James “Jimmy” Floyd Stollings.

Sharon was a retired cook and manager of Nelson's Diner in Chapmanville and a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and she loved her time with softball when her daughter Jaci played.

In addition to her mother, those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jack Richard Collins; one daughter, Jaclyn (Keisha) Collins of Hoover Fork; one special niece that she helped raise that was like a daughter, Nikki (Kent) Dempsey of Dempsey Branch; one step daughter, Lori Collins of Chapmanville; two sons, William Blevins of Crawley Creek, Jason (Cindy) Collins of Moneta, VA, and Robert (Dawn) Jarrell of Michigan that she helped raise and was like a son; two sisters, Judy Wilson of Chapmanville and Carolyn (David) Carter of Crawley Creek; one brother, Larry (Sherry) Stollings of Crawley Creek; grandchildren, Austin Collins, Shannon Blackburn, Tyler Blackburn, Halee Collins, Morgan Collins, Tyler Jarrell, Tayler Jarrell, Autumn Dempsey and the joy of her life Shelby Collins; two great grandchildren, Harper Blackburn and Caleb Collins; and a special cousin that was like a sister, Debbie Dingess.

Memorial contributions can be made to Freeman Funeral Home, to help with the funeral expenses.

Services will be held at 11 am, Monday, September 26, 2016 at Freeman Funeral Home with Deacon Terry Elkins officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 6- 9 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
