Roy "Dale" Smith

Dale Smith, 74 of Harts, WV departed this life on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

He was born June 8, 1942 in Harts, WV a son of the late Joe and Ina Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Judy Smith of Harts; two daughters, Sandie (Ray) Richter of Cleveland, OH and Sallie (Kenny) Roberts of Pecks Mill, WV; one sister, Ruth Fleming; five grandchildren, Ray “Ramie” (Brittany) Richter, Erik (Carrie) Richter, Matthew Richter, Justin (Jessica) Roberts and Drew Roberts; five great-grandchildren, Landon, Taryn, Evelynn and Baby Boy Richter and Alex Roberts.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Will & Minnie Workman Cemetery, Harts, WV with Bill Mitchell officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ray Richter, Ray “Ramie” Richter, Matthew Richter, Kenny Roberts, Justin Roberts and Drew Roberts.

Honorary pallbearers will be Erik Richter and Doug Kirk.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
